The Syracuse Orange fell short in the final four losing to North Carolina 83-66, but they outlasted 28 other teams in spite of being heavy underdogs.

Great teams are in direct proportion to great coaches, and there is no doubt that Jim Boeheim is one of the best.

The Orange were picked toward the end of selection Sunday as the number 10 seed, many sports analysts and fans felt they (Syracuse) didn't play well enough to be in the tournament.

After their first two tournament wins against Dayton and Middle Tennessee, the Orange stunned both Gonzaga and Virginia to become one of the top 4 teams in the tournament.

Syracuse will lose two of their star players in Michael Gbinije, and Trevor Cooney, but the future looks bright with Tyler Lydon and Malachi Richardson finishing their first year of the program.

Congratulations to the entire Syracuse Mens Basketball team, the coaches, and the fans on a great year.
