A package that was deemed "suspicious" was delivered to Governor Andrew Cuomo's office in Manhattan.

Cuomo Wednesday told reporters that "a device" had been sent to his office. The governor spoke after bombs or other suspicious items had been reported at the homes of former presidents Clinton and Obama.

CNN's New York City bureau at Time Warner Center was evacuated following the discovery of an "explosive device."

Rich Azzopardi, a Cuomo spokesman, tweeted that a preliminary investigation on the package received by the governor's office "shows it is computer files on the hate group, The Proud Boys, who recently appeared in New York."

An New York City police department official reported Cuomo's midtown Manhattan office had been cleared. The official on Twitter said the situation at the governor's office was unrelated to the other "suspicious package" investigations.

The NYPD spokesman said "there was no device of any kind" at Cuomo's office.
