I've said it many times before, my idea of perfect weather is sunny skies with the temperatures anywhere in the 70s. That way you can wear either a t-shirt or a sweatshirt, or shorts or jeans and feel comfortable. So I've been loving the weather we've been having over the last few weeks. That will all change this weekend.

Looking ahead at Brian Schroeder's forecast from WBNG, it looks like we have a heat wave is coming. Starting tomorrow, Friday, it will be sunny with a high of 86. Saturday and Sunday the temperature jumps between 90 and 96 degrees and it will be mostly sunny both days. As we head into next week, Brian is predicting s a chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. All next week the highs will range from 88 to 93 degrees. So if you like it hot, you are about to get your wish. And with the hot and humid weather on its way, I thought now would be a good time to repost this list of cooling places in Broome County;

The Public Library on Main Street in Johnson City, The Oakdale Mall in Johnson City, The George F Johnson Memorial Library on Park Street in Endicott, The Broome West Senior Center on Wayne Street in Endwell, and the Broome County Public Library on Court Street in Binghamton. You can also cool off at many of the local public pools in our area. They include; the Fairview Pool on Fairview Avenue in Binghamton, Floral Avenue Johnson City, Highland Park, MacArthur Pool, Northside Pool, Southside Pool, The Vestal Memorial Pool, the West Endicott Park Pool, and the Spray Park at C.F.J. Park in Johnson City
