Today is the first full day of spring. It’s hard to think of spring with three feet of snow on the ground but it is melting.

When I think of spring I think of baseball, (Rumble Ponies home opener is April 13th), golf, yard work, and warmer weather. You know spring is here when you can smell it in the air. The birds will be chirping and you will see more people spending time outside. I can’t wait for that first round of golf. I look forward to the first lunch or dinner sitting at the outdoor tables at a restaurant. Spring also means playoff hockey, which I love. Spring means driving with the windows open and the music blasting. The only bad thing about spring here in the Southern Tier is that it’s way too short. Winter seems to last into April and then before you know it, it’s 90 and humid. Give me sun and 73 any day. I’m sure Old Man Winter will stick around for a couple of more weeks, but wouldn’t it be nice if spring really did come on the first official day of spring.
