Despite crossed fingers from the entire Southern Tier community that rain and flooding would stay at bay and not bring a disrupture to the 2018 Spiedie Fest and Balloon Rally weekend, it doesn't look like our wish will be granted and for this reason, organizers have announced a major change to the festival plans for today.

In a phone call to Townsquare Media, Spiedie Fest and Balloon Rally coordinator Dave Pessagno explained that the wet weather has, unfortunately, forced the closure of Otsiningo Park today, Friday, August 3rd. Otsiningo Park is the home location of the Spiedie Fest and Balloon Rally.

What does this mean for the KC and the Sunshine Band concert scheduled for 7:00 p.m. tonight? The show will go on however, the venue location has been changed. The concert will now take place at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena on Stuart Street in downtown Binghamton.

Anyone planning to attend the Spiedie Fest and Balloon Rally is urged to keep a close eye on the festival Facebook page and website in the event more unavoidable weather-related issues do crop up and additional festival changes need to be made.

If you're planning to attend the KC and the Sunshine Band concert in downtown Binghamton tonight and aren't sure where to park, you'll find a very detailed downtown parking map right here.
