Paul McCartney will play his first ever show in Syracuse when he plays the Carrier Dome on Saturday September 23rd.

I've seen a crap-ton of concerts over the years and I would have to say that my favorite concert was Paul McCartney at Veteran's Stadium in Philadelphia. It might have been in 1993. I remember walking out onto the field at the Vet and stopping at third base where Mike Schmidt worked his magic all those years and then we continued on to our seats which were right about where the second baseman would be.

The show was incredible! Paul was awesome, his band was awesome and every person there sang along with the songs they knew. Every time he ripped into a Beatles song, I got chills. I still do when I think about it. I was standing there, thinking to myself, "Wow, I'm watching one of the Beatles".

He wrapped up the show with Hey Jude! He had the audience singing in sections and it was unbelievable.

That was the one and only time I ever saw Paul live but now that he's going to be in Syracuse, I'm going to do my best to get tickets before they sell out.

Tickets will go on Sale May 1st. At 10 am. through Ticketmaster. www.ticketmaster.com or charge by phone 800-745-3000.  If you have an American Express card, you can purchase tickets starting tomorrow at 10am.
