I am a bit frustrated at the reaction of people around me as I wear a flu mask this week.

I am sick and to be considerate of a pregnant co-worker and part timers here, I thought I would (once again) wear a mask. What do I get in return? People looking at me like I have two heads and comments. Really? So you'd rather I didn't wear it?

Here is what happens if I don't: my pregnant co-worker runs the risk of getting sick and being in the hospital. My part time co-workers run the risk of getting sick and losing pay for being out sick themselves.

It's not about you. It's about preventing the spread of colds and flu. It's...dare I say it?...selfless! Too many of us forget what that's like.

Personally, if most people react like those I have come across, no wonder more people don't wear flu masks! I think they should be required. What's your opinion?
