This morning, every area school opted to close. Most called into our station before a single flake fell. I remember last year when that happened and we only got a dusting.

When I was growing up, we didn't have snow days unless the snow was already on the ground and was substantial. We never had to make up days, either. Today, the decisions seem to be based on the forecast which, no offense to my meteorologist friends, can be very wrong much if the time.

My question to you is: should administrators close the school based on forecast or actual weather conditions? It's your call!
