This Saturday over 20 bands will come together to raise money to help animals in local shelters. The event is called Shelter Slam and it takes place twice every year.

For a $15 donation at the door music fans can enjoy over 20 bands with all the proceeds going to Binghamton area no-kill animal shelters.

The event is taking place at Endwell Greens on Sally Piper Road in Endwell. They will be using both ballrooms so the music will be continuous. Some of the bands that will be playing include; Battery, the Metallica tribute band, Tourniquet, the Marilyn Manson tribute band, bands from New York and Philadelphia including Kore Rozzik, and Hellinga. Local rockers will also be playing including; Wreckless Marci, Recycled Zombies, Drama Scream, Jimmy Jones and the Family Jewels, O.C.D., Hating Amy, Kreature, Kickstart, Ashley Lux, Broken Arrow, Trace of Life, Titan, Part of Pluto, and Paul Tauterouff and the Fruit of His Loins to name a few.

There are 10 animal shelters that will benefit from the event including; The B.C. Humane Society, Every Dogs Dream, Willows Wings, S.P.E.A.K., Pibbles and More, A.M.P.S. and others.

There will be food, raffles, prizes, and vendors. And, some of the shelters will be on hand with pictures of pets that are available for adoption.

So if you like music and you love animals you really should be at Shelter Slam this Saturday starting at 1 at Endwell Greens.
