September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
We here at Townsquare Media Binghamton hold the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital near and dear to our. We even recently brought back our annual Radiothon on 98.1 The Hawk to help raises funds for the miracles happening down in Memphis.
The St. Jude Children's Research Hospital takes over $2.5 million a day to run, and they count on every donation to help them.
September is recognized as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. St. Jude has taken the childhood cancers survival rate from 20% to 80% since they opened their doors 50 years ago.
To get involved in Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, St. Jude has teamed together with kind-hearted people across the country to walk and run to end childhood cancer.
This Saturday September 22, in the Capital Region of New York, there is a walk/run to end childhood cancer.
