We all are growing older and the old saying is the first thing to goes is your eyesight and I must admit my vision has blurred some since my younger days.

We can usually maintain good vision through wearing glasses or contacts, but what happens when we hit our 70s, 80s and even 90s?

It's not just your vision that changes, it's also your motor skills and overall judgment.

I know many seniors who are still good drivers. Take my own dad for example. He's 83 and still drives and gets around just fine.

There was a incident last year involving a 92-year-old Wisconsin man, who crashed repeatedly into a total of 9 vehicles in a parking lot (see video below).

So should there be a shorter renewal period for drivers when they reach a certain age? Many states already have those laws into place, but many do not, including New York and Pennsylvania.

Some states also require you to come in and renew in person, so they can evaluate you before they issue a new license.

It sucks getting older, but we all need to be safe on the road.

Here is a list of Renewal Laws by State.
