It's Thursday, so let's hop in the Whale Time Machine and travel back to February 4th, 1977.

I was new to the Binghamton area, having just re-located from Elmira to the big city (right?!), and was I excited to play some new music on the radio from one of the best bands on the planet back then.

And that was the day Fleetwood Mac's album 'Rumours' was placed in the new album bins of your favorite record store. Hard to believe, but it was their 11th album to date, and the LP became the 5th best selling album.

Every time I played Go Your Own Way on the radio, I had those studio speakers cranked for all they could handle. Think I blew out the tweeters playing the music so loud one day, if I recall correctly!

'Rumours' obviously topped the US and UK album charts. Not hard to believe, with such amazing tunes as You Make Lovin' Fun, Don't Stop, Go Your Own Way, Dreams, Oh Daddy, The Chain, and so many more.

The lineup at that time included Lindsay Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, Mick Fleetwood Mac and John McVie. That's the Fleetwood Mac I grew up loving.

For today's Classic Rock Throwback Thursday, let's peak in on The Mac performing Go Your Own Way back in 1977.
