News broke Monday that Jim Weed was resigning his position of General Manager of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

I've gotten to know Jim from working with him on station events over the past few years. And just like the G.M. before him, Scott Brown, he is a great guy that would do anything he could to help people in our community. I've helped to put on benefits over the last how many years and Jim always stepped up with tickets or other giveaways to help the benefits. As G.M. He came up with a lot of fun events, theme nights, and activities, that made going to NYSEG Stadium more than just watching the future Mets prospects hone their skills to make it to the big show.

Jim would take the time during the game to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves as well as making sure every aspect of the game went off without a hitch.

He worked his way up from an intern in 1996, to G.M. He's been with the Mets/Rumble Ponies for the past 21 years.

Weed has accepted a new position with a company here in the area, so he and his family will remain in the Binghamton Area.

I just want to say thank you, Jim, for all you've done for our non-profits in our community as well as all the baseball fans in the twin tiers. Good luck with the new gig, and we will miss seeing you at the games.
