Spring 1971, I was in 10th grade, and I remember hearing on the radio an awesome new song from the Rolling Stones, named 'Brown Sugar.'

It was the first tune to come from the Stones new label, 'Rolling Stones Records.' That's the first time we saw their new logo featuring the red lips and licking tongue, or as it's referred to, 'Red Big Mouth.'

or as it's referred to, Red Big Mouth.

That logo was designed a year earlier by John Pasche, a British graphics designer.

'Brown Sugar' came out in the US in May of 1971, and was the first single from the album 'Sticky Fingers', which also contained some great tunes including 'Wild Horses', Bitch', 'Can't You Hear Me Knocking' and 'Sister Morphine.' 'Brown Sugar' flew up the charts to the number one spot in the US, and number 2 in the UK.
