Theme Weekends on 99.1 The Whale are designed to make your weekend radio listening a bit more fun.

That's why we do it every week. Coming up with new themes at time can be a bit difficult because we just aren't that smart...ha-ha! Anyway, we came up with a good one for this weekend, we think.

It's a Classic Rock Song Guitar Riff Weekend. Featuring hourly double-shots of tunes that contain some awesome, screaming guitar riffs. Many of them are featured in the beginning of the song, and sets the tone for what turns out to be a killer song. Tunes like Sweet Child 'O Mine, Sweet Home Alabama and Smoke On The Water.
