The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has been under scrutiny for some of its choices over the past years, so who should be included in next years group?

Rolling Stone Magazine recently ask its readers who should be on the role call for the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions.

The ones that made the most sense to me were

YES: Eligible since 1994, they were nominated in 2014 and 2016

The Moody Blues: Eligible since 1989, and have never received a nomination.

Jethro Tull: Eligible since 1993, never been nominated.

Electric Light Orchestra: Eligible since 1996, never been nominated.

The Cars: Eligible since 2003, nominated for the first time in 2015

You can make the argument that a few of the above could be on the cusp, but how can you snub the most progressive rock band of all time YES, their music is on such a level of   difficulty, that most bar bands won't even attempt to cover them.

The Moody Blues, among their many songs they recorded a master piece with the London Orchestra "Days of Future Passed' which gave us 'Nights in White Satin' and 'Tuesday Afternoon'

Jethro Tull: One of the most original sounding bands of the 20th Century , with guitar, piano and flute infusions, a mid-evil sound and incredible rock riffs.

Also on Rolling Stones list of fan input was Pearl Jam, who are in their first year of eligibility, I love the band but there are others who should go in first.

My biggest snubs go to the band Journey, they have sold 80 millions albums world wide, their hit song 'Don;t Stop Believin' is the top selling song in iTunes history with over 5 million downloads and that is not including what people have purchased in misc stores

And Boston who had the highest ranking debut album in the history of rock, with angelic rock songs like 'More Than a Feeling', 'Peace Of Mind', 'Foreplay / Long Time' and 'Rock and Roll Band'

I'm sure there are many more artists you could make an good argument for, but it all comes down to personal choice and clearly the powers that decide who gets into the elite hall of Rockers have poor taste in much of their decisions.
