35 years ago this past week, Pink Floyd’s 'The Wall' begins a 15 week ride at the number one position.

I actually remember listening to the entire album on 99.1 The Whale during 'The Midnight Album' feature!

This was the last studio album that would feature original members, David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Richard Wright and Nick Mason.

The album released three singles, 'Another Brick in the Wall, Part Two', 'Run Like Hell' and 'Comfortably Numb' but like most album rock at the time. Several others including, 'Mother' and 'Hey You' continue to receive regular airplay on radio stations around the world.

Like most Floyd compositions, it was conceptual and based on an idea Roger Waters had when he felt frustrated with his audience, and pictured a wall between him and the crowd.

There was also a featured film made in 1982, if you’ve never seen it check out the video below, and enjoy the complete album.

Remember if you don’t eat your meat, you can’t have any pudding!
