Talk about the agony of defeat. While most Ranger fans were reaching for another beer and overtime, the Caps slid a shot past Henrik Lundqvist with less than 2 seconds left in regulation to steal home ice advantage with a 2-1 win.

I thought for sure the Blueshirts would give us another overtime thriller, since they were clearly the more dominate team throughout the game. But as we all know, if you let your guard down for a moment, you're down in the series, 0-1.

Lundqvist was mostly spot on, but the Capitals Alex Ovechkin is an amazing player and hit a screamer past the Ranger goalie with less than 2 minute remaining in the first period.

I think the Rangers need to work on their offense a little more. Maybe they had an off night, but I still think this series will go the distance.

Game 2 is tomorrow night at the Garden. I think you'll see a more focused, more determined team.
