A Port Dickinson man believed to be a leader of an online club that had male members pretending to be teens in order to get underage girls to preform sex acts admits his role in the child exploitation ring.

As expected, 39 year old Christian Maire is the latest to plead guilty to federal charges.

The chat group consisted of men who had joined by invitation and used aliases to lure girls from around the country and Canada.

Federal prosecutors said dozens of girls were victimized.

Maire could face as little as 20 years to as much as life in prison.

Nine other men from Canada, California, Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas and New York were indicted in federal court in Michigan in the case with two of those pleading guilty to child exploitation last week.

The Binghamton Press and Sun Bulletin reports Federal authorities confirming Maire had an online profile identifying him as being involved in high-technology computer businesses in the Binghamton area.
