Authorities say 34-year-old Theodore Cooper of Nichols was arrested after Broome County sheriff's deputies investigated a complaint from a convenience store.

There had been a report of two suspicious people at the Express Mart store at 1991 Union Center Maine Highway around 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

When deputies arrived, they found people matching the description provided by an employee of the business.

During the investigation, deputies discovered Cooper was in possession of meth and heroin. He was arrested without incident.

Cooper was charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He also was charged with felony criminal possession of a stimulant with intent to sell.

Investigators declined to release the quantity of drugs seized in the case.

Cooper was arraigned and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
