Pinball Wizard – Classic Rock Pick of the Week

After all these years, The Who's 'Tommy' continues to delight fans. That goes to show you the power of Classic Rock will never die, or at least I hope that's the case.

Roger Daltrey is bringing the 'Tommy Tour' to the U.S. this summer, including stops not far from us, including kicking off the tour at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on June 8th.

It was on this day (2/7) in 1969 that The Who recorded the song Pinball Wizard in England and released it a month later. That tune did very well on the U.S. and U.K. singles charts.

Pinball Wizard is found on the 'Tommy' album and performed by Elton John on the 'Tommy' movie soundtrack. For this week's Classic Rock Pick, enjoy The Who performing Pinball Wizard in concert.
