Even agencies that strive to keep the driving public safe aren’t safe from criminals.

The Pennsylvania State Police say the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation had two batteries removed from a PennDOT vehicle parked at the intersection of Route 16 and Route 14 in Troy Township sometime before 7 a.m. August 8.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda.
