Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Twenty-nine-year-old Bradley Snyder of Germansville is accused of leading authorities on a chase through Barton, Tioga Center and Owego after driving directly at Sayre police cars, causing an officer to drive off the road.

Police say the chase began January 1 on Spring Street in Sayre when they saw a vehicle with a severely cracked windshield.  Authorities say Snyder refused to stop, weaving through traffic and hitting a sports utility vehicle before crossing into New York State.

After allegedly running a Sayre squad car off the road, Snyder is accused of hitting a police car in Waverly.

A deer ended up terminating the vehicle chase on Lisle Road in Owego but police say they still had to chase Snyder on foot before taking him into custody.

Snyder was charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer as well as numerous counts of reckless endangering, reckless driving, criminal mischief and traffic violations.

He was sent to the Tioga County Jail on $25,000 bail.
