Ozzy and the Bat [VIDEO]

33 years ago on this day, a bat became famous.

During an Ozzy Osbourne concert in Des Moines, someone in the crowd thought it would be a cool thing to toss a live bat on stage. Why anyone would think this was an ingenious thing to do, is beyond me.

As you know, Ozzy thought it was fake, and why wouldn't he? Who would ever think a fan would bring a live bat into a rock concert with the intention of throwing it on stage? Ozzy decides to play along, picks up what he thinks is a fake bat, goes to bite off it's head, and the bat starts to flap it's wings. The show went on, but afterward Ozzy ended up in the hospital for rabies shots. It makes you shutter just thinking about it. Crazy, huh?
