Owego’s Lights on the River

This Friday night, my wife and I, and two other couples, went out to Owego for their Christmas celebration ‘Lights on the River. As soon as we got there, we went to see the live reindeer who were in the parking lot across from where we parked. Then, we walked down to the courthouse where they were doing the lighting of the lights ceremony. Honestly I expected more lights to come on then what came on, but so be it.

Then we made our way back to one of the bars to have some drinks, eat a few appetizers, and warm up a little bit. Then we went back outside to watch the fireworks next to the bridge. They fired those up over the river and it was a pretty cool firework display. The alcohol helped us have a good night and stay warm, but Santa Claus, the reindeer, the jugglers, and the free hot coffee and donuts, helped all the kids have a great night too.
