A Tioga County grand jury has handed up an indictment following an investigation prompted by a complaint made by a bank employee.

Authorities say 32-year-old Sandra Villa of Owego was indicted for fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.

According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, Villa was arrested Monday.

Investigators say they received a report from a worker at Tioga State Bank of "suspicious activity involving money."

A news release issued Tuesday did not elaborate on the complaint or specify how much money was involved in the case.

Villa was arraigned before a Tioga County Court judge and released on her own recognizance.
