I don't know how it happened so fast, but Autumn is upon us! The good thing about it is the cool things to experience in a Southern Tier Fall.

We've compiled some must do's for you.

1. Candor Fall Festival - The town of Candor opens it's doors to you for the fun of scarecrow contests, a woodworking show, business open houses, farm tours, all kinds of fall food, yard sales, dinners, a 5K and more! Candor is a rural gem to enjoy, for sure!

2. Howloween at the Zoo - The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park gets all decked out for your little ghouls and boys weekends in October through the 19th. On the 11th Cinderella will be on hand for special tea party! Expect goodies and good fun for the kids.

3. Boo at the Zoo - This one's for the adults! October 24th and 25th, the Zoo get really scary with the haunted zoo and more. Get your Boo on.

4. Pumpkin Carnival - Apalachin plays host to a fun day of everything pumpkin! Food and fun will be everywhere. October 25th.

5. Apple & Pumpkin picking, corn mazes and Fall fun - Three places were recommended getting your highly for getting your Autumn on: Iron Kettle Farm in Candor, Jackson's Farm in Endicott and Roba Family Farm in North Abington, PA. At each farm, you can pick out your pumpkins, wander a corn maze, go for a hay ride and more! Each offers exclusive fun.

6. Wine Tours. The Finger Lakes are loaded with wine tastings and tours right now. Do your homework, then head out and discover your new favorite wine!

7. Southern Tier Independence Center Haunted Halls of Horror- This is THE scary attraction in Binghamton and the admission price helps the non-profit run throughout the year. So not only do you get the pants scared off you, but you get to help your community. It runs every weekend in October.

8. Stoughton Farm - This is fall activities on overdrive in Owego. Whether you want to creep through the maze, try the corn cannon, cow train rides, or eat delish food, it is worth the visit.

9. Reaper's Revenge - Zombies and Spooks and Ghouls, oh my! Oh yeah! You've got to be terrified for Halloween right? This is the place to do it.  They've got 4 major attractions, zombie paintball and more.

10. The Cider Mill - for being open during the scariest time of the year, a change of pace. Pure heaven! Whether you're their for the cider or the candy apples or the doughnuts, you will be happy you went. Just remember to get some doughnuts to freeze!
