Our Ross Park/Binghamton Zoo Family Outing
What great adventures await you in Binghamton! I am surprised that longtime residents don't take advantage of the fun here.
My step-son, daughter-in-law, and our granddaughter are here for a visit and (with your help) I did some digging on places to see. Thanks for the suggestions!
Our first stop was the Binghamton Zoo and Ross Park carousel. Olivia enjoyed all the animals. Luckily, it was just the right amount. We saw an Andean bear, red pandas, lemurs, red and grey wolves, tigers (which make very un-Tigerlike sounds) and many more animals.
As we looked at some birds, Olivia enjoyed a visit with an inch worm that dropped into our group. She was quite excited about the monkeys, but the Howlers were a bit shy.
It rained while we were there, but the tram took us, in a dry manner, to the top of the hill for the otter and penguin exhibit. I don't think any of us minded the rain at all.
After our excursion, Olivia and I were excited to go on the carousel. Her mom and dad came too and my hubby took the video. What a nice, long ride! The horses are in great shape!
All in all, Olivia had a great time and so did we. I hope you will take the time to visit the zoo, ride the carousel and explore all the attractions the Southern Tier has to offer. There are many of them after all!
