We just had the nicest weekends of spring, it was time for another trip on a tank to one of New York State's many lakes, on Saturday we hit Sylvan Beach.

One of the many areas in New York that you can travel to is Oneida Lake, located northeast of Syracuse and just a little over an hours drive from the Binghamton area.

The shores have parks and beaches around the roughly 80 square miles of the lake, and if you’re looking for a nice respite that’s very reasonably priced you can’t beat it.

My wife and I grabbed a room for the night this past weekend and had a really nice time relaxing on the beach.

The weather was a little cool for swimming, but just right for sitting on the beach with a light jacket enjoying some sun while sitting on the shore.

I have traveled 1000 of miles to enjoy some of the warm tropical spots on this planet, but you don’t even have to go that far to enjoy the water and the aesthetics of sand, blue skies, beautiful sunset and a romantic walk on the beach.
I encourage you to take a trip to one of our areas lake regions.
