The New York Giants are having another disappointing season with very slim hopes of making the playoffs, last weekend their star wide receiver disappointed us all.

Odell Beckham Jr is this week's hot topic in the NFL, after his on field antics, that resulted in three personal fouls, one that involved a deliberate helmet spear into Panthers CB Josh Norman.

The NFL has suspended Beckham for one game, and I belive that was the right decision, he clearly put a fellow player at risk of serious injury.

Although I am disappointed with this incident, I know the Panther players taunted this 23 year old man, even bring baseball bats out during practice, and some of this also falls on the officials for not get ting this under control early in the game.

Coach Coughlin is under the gun for not benching him after that WWE style hit, he openly admitted he wanted Odell in the game to give them a chance to win.

Tom Coughlin said quote "I will not defend his actions yesterday," the coach said, "because they were wrong and this particular franchise and organization does not tolerate that, so I would not do that. But I will defend the young man and the quality of the person. I will defend him as long as I'm able."

Eli Manning who has always been a soft spoken individual said the officiating crew should've done a much better job controlling the early altercations.

So how much of this is the true colors of a young athlete, or a human being getting caught up in the taunting trash talking dirty tactics of the game.

We can only hope that this is an isolated incident, I think Odell Beckham Jr is a special player, and he can rise above this, hopefully he has learned from his mistakes last week.

The Giants will miss him on Sunday night when they travel to Minnesota to take on the Vikings in a must win game.
