Noah a Biblical Story? Huh

Over the weekend I went to see ‘Noah” The new movie starring Russell Crowe, having been around for a while, I have seen many versions of the biblical story of Noah, a man of faith and his family and how God tells him to build this huge ark to shelter all the animals in the world as he prepares to flood the world and destroy everyone but Noah and his family.

I was quite confused with parts of this storyline which included giant rock creatures that were kind of building the ark for Noah, also everyone spoke the queens English which along with the effects made it seem like more of a Harry Potter movie, and it didn’t help that Emma Watson (Hermione from Harry Potter) was one of the lead characters.

Then there were the huge bursts of water that came from the ground up, like jets from a hot tub..huh?

Finally the fact that Noah wanted to kill off any chance of his family re populating the earth, so what the hell was the purpose of saving his family?

The movie left me very confused. maybe there will be a sequel?
