If you haven't heard the shocking news, in response to on going NCAA investigation, Syracuse University has removed the Mens basketball team of all tournament play this post season. No NIT, ACC or NCAA tournaments for the men in orange this season.

I am disappointed that on March 10th there will be one less game in the ACC bracket. This will be the first time in over 20 years the 'cuse mens team hasn't been in post season action. They have played in 31 NCAA contests, including the last 6 in a row!

One of the really sad parts of this is that the investigation involving athletes violations, focuses on 2007-2012, and doesn't involve any of the current team players.

Coach Jim Boeheim said he was disappointed for the players on the team, but said the university is doing the right thing by acknowledging the situation, and fully cooperating with the investigation, which involved the school drug policy.

On a positive note, next year looks very promising as Boeheim and company have put together an exceptional recruitment of players for the 2015-16 season.

Go Orangemen!
