The Seattle Seahawks and Baltimore Ravens each won in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs on Sunday. Here’s a recap of each game:

Seattle 24 — Washington 14

Marshawn Lynch ran for 132 yards, including a go-ahead, 27-yard touchdown with 7:08 to play, and the Seattle Seahawks beat the Washington Redskins, 24-14, in Landover, Md. on Sunday in the wild-card round of the NFC playoffs. With the win, Seattle advanced to play at the top-seeded Atlanta Falcons next Sunday.

The Seahawks forced Washington rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III into two turnovers, including a costly fumble with 6:19 left in the fourth quarter. Griffin re-injured the right knee he sprained earlier this season on the play, and he was replaced by reserve Kirk Cousins for the remainder of the game. Seattle placekicker Steven Hauschka added an insurance field goal just after the turnover.

After trailing by two touchdowns heading into the second quarter, the Seahawks scored 24 unanswered points to claim the victory. Seattle rookie quarterback Russell Wilson threw for 187 yards and a touchdown despite being sacked five times. He also rushed for 67 yards.

The Seahawks’ defense held Redskins’ stars Griffin and rookie running back Alfred Morris in check after the first quarter, when Washington broke out to a 14-0 lead. The Redskins marched for touchdowns on their first two possessions. Each series ended with a 4-yard touchdown pass by Griffin, who finished 10 for 19 with 84 passing yards, an interception and a fumble. He was held to just 21 rushing yards by an aggressive Seattle defense. Morris carried 16 times for 80 yards for the Redskins.

Baltimore 24 — Indianapolis 9

Joe Flacco threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns, and the Baltimore Ravens beat the Indianapolis Colts, 24-9, in Baltimore on Sunday in the wild-card round of the AFC playoffs. Ravens’ receiver Anquan Boldin had five receptions for 145 yards and a touchdown. As a result of the victory, Baltimore advanced to play at the top-seeded Denver Broncos next Saturday.

In what was the last home game ever for Ravens’ perennial All-Pro linebacker Ray Lewis, the Baltimore defense kept the Colts’ offense — led by rookie quarterback Andrew Luck — out of the end zone. Lewis, who earlier this week announced his intention to retire at the end of the season, led his team with 13 tackles. He ended the game at fullback, taking a knee on a hand-off and then celebrating his team’s playoff victory with a dance.

Luck finished 28 of 54 for 288 passing yards. He threw an interception, fumbled and was sacked three times.

Bernard Pierce ran for 103 yards on 13 carries for the Ravens. Ray Rice added 70 yards on the ground, but he also fumbled twice. Linebacker Paul Kruger had 2.5 sacks for Baltimore.

Colts’ receiver Reggie Wayne caught nine passes for 114 yards, while teammate Vick Ballard carried 22 times for 91 yards.
