Laura Silberman had no idea she is making history. All she knew was she wanted to try out, as kicker, for the NFL at the regional Combine in New Jersey. So, she registered. laura is now the first woman to be at the combine. Ever.

In case you didn't know, there is a 2012 historical milestone rule that allows women to play football. She and I were both surprised that no other women registered. But, one is a start.

Silberman is an interesting case. She didn't play football, but she was on the university of Wisconsin Club Soccer team. Oh and she's an MIT graduate who got her Master's Degree by writing about how athletes use video games to improve their play on the field.

I can't wait to see how she does! Now, you get to throw in your two cents.
