The Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse will be able to parlay a $10,000 New York State Grant into 66,000 meals in Broome County.

Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo announced the grant to assist CHOW in addressing food insecurity in the region.

CHOW director Jack Seaman says they have agreements with several food retailers for bulk purchases, allowing them to stretch donated dollars.

Residents are also encouraged to donate non-perishable food in CHOW barrels located at several area grocery stores and churches.
