For the year's shortest month, the new-music release list for February 2014 actually features a surprisingly respectable amount of audio and visual treats for classic-rock fans.

Among the most intriguing projects is former Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers' 'The Royal Sessions,' which finds him paying tribute to the sounds of Memphis with a set of classic covers recorded in one of the city’s best-loved studios and surrounded by some of the greatest musicians in the history of soul music.

There's also a double-shot of the Allman Brothers Band, with a live CD recorded shortly before Duane Allman's tragic death and a band-authorized biography entitled 'One Way Out.' Meanwhile, Heart check in with a live DVD featuring classics and songs from their recent 'Fanatic' album, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers veteran Benmont Tench steps out with his first-ever solo album, 'You Should Be So Lucky.'
