April 23, 2015. It became cold and it snowed. Social media blows up with people complaining, and after this past brutal Winter, they have the right to do so.

If it's cold, if it's snowing, so be it. I've got warm clothes, a jacket, gloves, boots, blankets and a heating system. I'll even get a campfire going.

On the other side of the coin, it's April 23, 2015. At this time of year, it can, and will from time to time, be cold and snow. I remember many Memorial Days where the thermometer barely hit 50. If you're like me, you begin to think warm days will never arrive, but they will.

And that leads me to my main thought. I, as most of you do, long for warm days. But either way, as I look at my 'days to camping' countdown clock (yes, I'm a bit strange), if on May 1st the weather is less than desirable, I will none-the-less hop in my van, and head to the campground, where I will happily open up, set up, and turn on everything to begin the camping  season. If it's cold, if it's snowing, so be it. I've got warm clothes, a jacket, gloves, boots, blankets and a heating system. I'll even get a campfire going.

I've waited 6 long months to get to May 1st, go get out of my way, cold and snow. Unless Mother nature plans a blizzard with a foot of snow, I will be there. Oh boy, did I just jinx myself?
