The signs are up designating the I81 North and South bridges over Castle Creek Road memorials to slain New York State Trooper Christopher Skinner.

The memorial was announced earlier this year and signed by Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Skinner was run down by a Florida motorist near those bridges as he was conducting a routine speeding stop along the side of the road.

61 year old Almond Upton is to stand trial in November for first degree murder in Skinner’s death.

Police allege Upton intentionally swerved out of his lane of travel in order to hit Skinner.

August 31 the signs on the Christopher Skinner memorial bridges were unveiled and dedicated.
