"I hope I die before I get old."
The Whale Time Machine is set to travel back to October 29th, 1965. The destination - England.

For it was on that day, Roger Daltry, Pete Townsend, John Entwistle and Keith Moon released a song that would later be called by many as one of the Top 20 greatest songs of all time.

The group of course, is The Who, and the song is My Generation. It went as high as the number 2 position on the UK singles chart, but for some odd reason, the tune peaked out at 74 on the US singles chart. What the hell?!
By the way, the 'B' side of My Generation on the UK Copy is Shout and Shimmy and on the flip side of the US single, the song is Out in the Street.

Let's hop back in the time machine and make a stop at Woodstock in 1969 as The Who performs My Generation for this week's Classic Rock Throwback Thursday.
