Saturday was my birthday and I celebrated with a very busy weekend.

Friday night Chris and I cooked together and made a nice dinner at home. Saturday we packed a bunch of stuff and headed off to Pennsylvania where we had a cookout and I got to see a lot of my family members. After the cookout, we went to a casino where neither one of us came out a winner.

Sunday started with church, then breakfast, then volunteering at the church helping to count the collections. After we finished that, we did some grocery shopping, brought those back to the house, and headed off to NYSEG Stadium to check out part of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies game. We left the game early to get to Spiedie Fest in time to see Cheap Trick. They put on a good show but they didn't play my favorite song of theirs which is 'She's Tight'. But the band sounded good and tight. Robin Zander's voice is still as strong as ever.

After the concert, and after grabbing something to eat at Spiedie Fest, we are on our way back home to do some work around the house. Chris started to paint the powder room off the kitchen, and I was outside spraying weed killer on the weeds on our patio in preparation of Dick's Sporting Goods Open week.

A lot of my friends were encouraging Chris to throw a surprise party for me, being that this was my big 5-0. I told her I didn't want a huge party. She went out of her way to throw a surprise party for me on my 40th, and I didn't want her to do it again.
