The movie critic system really ought to just go back to the "thumbs up, thumbs up" or "one through five star" system to avoid colossal blunders like this one.

While reviewing the movie 'Strange Magic' on the show 'What the Flick?!,' noted critic and TCM personality Ben Mankiewicz made a startling comment after co-host Matt Atchity said the best way to watch the film was to take it in without sound.

Mankiewic's response:

That’s how I had to watch incest porn. You gotta turn the sound down.”

What the what? As if that wasn't bad enough, Mankiewicz continued to shove his rather large shoe into his rather large mouth when he expounded, much to the horror of his co-hosts:

“I’m just saying that every guy gets that moment when a friend hands them the box of old porn. Right? And one of the tapes was incest porn.”

Umm, to put this in film terms, we say the script needs an overhaul. A serious G-rated overhaul. The phrase "incest porn" should probably never come out of your mouth, especially when a camera is rolling. Lesson learned, Mr. Mankiewicz.
