In Sprint's new 'Framily Portrait' ad campaign, the Motley Crue song 'Home Sweet Home' is used as the backdrop for the warm and fuzzy feelings at the center of the sales pitch. A little girl named Heidi plays the familiar riff on piano, while cartoon birdies circle round (no, this is not a hallucination!) and as the words come forth, they are in French.

Mom, Dad, Chuck, Grandpa, Aunt Tia, Gor-Don, and Zack make up the circle of 'Friends and Family' that make up the 'Framily' in the portrait here. "Part friends, part family, all framily" goes the tag line. The premise here is the diverse batch of characters represents the wide net cast by any given 'framily' that are all being kept in contact via Sprint. For some reason, 'Dad' is a hamster, and again, we are not hallucinating. The overall subtle artiness of it works, and the Crue tune seems right at home.

'Home Sweet Home' was originally released on the band's third album, 'Theater Of Pain,' in 1985., and was written by drummer Tommy Lee, bassist Nikki Sixx and singer Vince Neil. Though never a charting hit, the song has gone on to become one of Motley Crue's best loved, and most identifiable songs. It was covered in 2009 by country star Carrie Underwood, who took her version up to No. 21 on the Billboard charts.
