It's no secret that Metallica are huge fans of the San Francisco Giants. Likewise, the Giants are massive supporters of the Bay Area metal legends, and for the third year in a row, the baseball champs will host 'Metallica Night.' It'll take place May 2, 2015 at AT&T Park.

'Metallica Night' has basically become an official holiday for the San Francisco Giants and their legions of diehard fans. The past two years, Metallica have performed the National Anthem at the ballpark and even thrown out the first pitch, and it will all happen again in 2015!

Metallica broke the exciting news on their official website:

A huge congratulations to our hometown San Francisco Giants, winners of the 2014 World Series! Just as the festivities and celebrations are starting to wind down it's time to plan for next season and lucky for us, the team has invited us back for the third annual Metallica Night at AT&T Park. We'll all be on hand Saturday, May 2, 2015 as the Giants take the field against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and as always, the night will kick off with the National Anthem and first pitch. Of course we'll be hanging all evening with those crazy, loud, loyal orange and black fans cheering for the team and participating in some in between inning action.

Special event tickets for this game go on sale as part of Orange and Black Friday, November 28 at 8:00 AM PST. The special event Metallica ticket package includes a ticket to the game and a limited edition Metallica/Giants goodie that we'll tell you about at a later date. A portion of the proceeds from every Metallica Night special event ticket will benefit a local charity that we will tell you about later.

On Wednesday November 26, Met Club members should log in to the site for details about how they may purchase tickets to the game early.
