New details are emerging in the huge altercation that unfolded at last weekend's Firefest 2014 in Lakewood, Ohio. According to Lakewood police, who have released dashboard camera video and mugshots of those arrested, the disagreement began long before the music event. Allegedly, both sides contacted each other beforehand to arrange what turned into a melee involving as many as 50 fans.

Firefest, a metal and hardcore concert held at the Foundry Concert Club, earlier featured Winds of Plaque and Oceano. Death Before Dishonor and headliners Ringworm were unable to go on, however, after authorities shut down the venue on Saturday.

Five people were injured, and 23 were arrested -- most of whom, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, were not from the area. Police identified the warring factions as crews called Friends Stand United from Boston, and Swing On Sight Family from Youngstown. A handful of gunshots were also reported, though luckily no wound reports followed.

"There were two groups of 50 or more people (total)," according to Lakewood Police Chief Tim Malley. "By all appearances, they came together through some sort of mutual agreement." A sound engineer at the Foundry Club said some members of the crowd had baseball bats. A local prosecutor said interviews were on going, and that charges -- which most likely would include aggravated rioting -- will follow.
