Yes, it's a couple of days away, but we didn't want to forget the birthday of an important rock-n-roller!.

Did you know The Scorpions have been around for 50 years?

May 25th, 1948, Klaus Meine was born in Hannover Germany. He is the lead singer of The Scorpions, and is the main writer for most of the band's songs. The Scorpions have produced some great tunes, including 'Wind of Change and 'Rock You Like A Hurricane.'

Klaus had the honor of performing at the demolition of the Berlin Wall along with Scorpions band-mate/guitarist Matthais Jabs. He, along with Rudolf Schenker are the only two members of the band to be a part of every Scorpions album. I had the honor of meeting The Scorpions after a show in Syracuse many years ago. I got to hop aboard their tour bus, and see how a hard rock band lives on the road. All I can say is, "What happens on the bus, stays on the bus."

Did you know The Scorpions have been around for 50 years? Very few rock bands can make that claim! Happy Birthday (in advance) Klaus! Let's celebrate with The Scorpions performing 'Rock You Like A Hurricane.'
