Binghamton Police are looking for suspects in connection with the shooting of a man at the Carlisle Hills Apartments on Moeller Street on Memorial Day.

City Police were called at around 1:30 in the afternoon with reports that a man, shot in the chest, drove a car to another building in the apartment complex, went into a relative’s apartment and collapsed on the floor.  He was conscious when he was being taken to the hospital.  His name and condition have not been released.

Two men apparently sped off on motorcycles, pursued by police but are still at large.

Police Chief Joseph ZikuskI spoke to reporters at the scene and said the shooting appeared to have happened as a result of an argument. He said the victim knows the suspects and the act was not a random incident.  He said the general public was not in any danger.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Binghamton Police Detectives at (607) 772-7080.
