Authorities say 45-year-old Alex Ferrer was charged with three misdemeanor counts of making graffiti.

According to New York State Police, troopers developed information that Ferrer was the person responsible for the series of incidents reported in the town of Union in recent weeks.

Ferrer turned himself in to investigators on Tuesday. He was ordered to appear in Union town court on July 17.

Several graffiti incidents have been reported to law enforcement agencies in the town of Union and the village of Endicott over the past month.

Most of the cases involve the use of spray paint to deface the walls of businesses.
