A Johnson City man faces a felony charge after he allegedly kicked in the door of a village residence and entered without permission.

Authorities say 33-year-old Leonard Greenwood is accused of entering the home of a former girlfriend while she was inside.

Police were called after the man made his way into the residence and started arguing with the woman.

Investigators say Greenwood took the woman's phone and left the home before officers arrived.

Greenwood was accused of violating an order of protection issued by Broome County Family Court directing him to stay away from the residence.

Police say Greenwood returned to the home while officers were still there. He was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony; and second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.

Greenwood was arraigned and sent to Broome County Jail.
