Magilla Gorilla – Throwback Thursday [VIDEOS]

The show ran from 1964 to 1967 and contains several other characters in cartoon shorts as part of the weekly series.

Confined to the window of Peebles Pet shop dressed in shorts with suspenders, a bow tie, and a head that appears to be smaller than his head.

No one seemed interested in buying him except a little girl named Ogee (pronounced Oh Gee) her parents will not allow her to have a Gorilla as a pet.

The show also featured Punkin' Puss & Mushmouse and two other featured cartoons Ricochet Rabbit & Droop-a-Long, and Breezly & Sneezly.

Allan Melvin provided the voices of Magilla and Punkin Puss, he is best known as Sam the Butcher on The Brady Bunch and Sergeant Hacker on Gomer Pyle.
