For the third straight year, the Goodwill Theatre in Johnson City will host their neighborhood Trunk or Treat on Halloween from 5:30 till 7:30. It's an opportunity for kids to dress in costume and instead of walking from house to house, they trick-or-treat in a parking lot.

According to the press release from the Goodwill Theatre, local businesses and organizations will be passing out candy from car trunks and truck beds that are decorated for Halloween.

If it rains between those hours the event will be moved inside the Schorr Family Firehouse Stage which is located at 48 Willow Street, on the corner of Willow Street and Corliss Avenue.

The Schorr Family Firehouse Stage will also be offering tours of its expanded haunted house. There are two paths to choose from. One is a scary path and the other is a kid-friendly path. And while you're there you can vote for the funniest, scariest, and most creative trunk.

Along with the candy, kids can enjoy popcorn and punch too.

One of the best things about this Trunk or Treat event is you don't have to worry about the kids crossing roads and you don't have to drive them around all night either.
